W.E Dowds has completed and successfully obtained the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and safety Management System Standard.
The standard specifies requirements for an effective occupational health and safety management system that promotes a safe and healthy working environment.18001 provides a framework that has allowed the company to identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve their overall safety performance.
Managing Director, Clive Davies said "By implementing the 18001 standard and having it accredited by the British Safety Council we have clearly set ourselves apart from the competition and we will continue to build on this culture of a healthy workplace for all our employees, customers and visitors".
